Not the most beautiful, but one of the tastiest. Italians call it brutto ma buono - ugly but good. Orange and green skin with scales, but great tasting orange flesh. One large grower in California says the fine dining restaurant in San Francisco can't get enough of them, for the traditional paring with prosciutto. 85-90 days. 3 gram packet, approx. 120 seeds.

Suzie Mendelson Seeds are doing much better this year - 2017 - and we are looking forward to the wonderful melons soon. No rabbit or mouse damage either. Should go well with the Italian hazelnut cookies called "Brutto ma buono". But then anything does....
