We are often asked "Will Italian seeds grow here?" In short, yes.
Italy has a varied climate, just like North America. Southern Italy has a Mediterranean climate, warm and sunny like Southern California. Northern Italy has a four-season climate like most of the U.S. and Canada. Some of our Italian varieties are regional favorites in extremely cold places like the Alps, others from extremely hot places like Sicily.
All these seeds will grow here in the United States. In that regard, they are no different from the seeds from any other seed company (most of which are sourced globally anyway). If you live in Zones 4 or 5, you may have to make special provisions for extremely long-season crops such as Cardoon and Artichoke.
