Pole Roma Bean Seeds – Grow Italian Flavor in the USA!
This heirloom variety is the Roma-style bean seen in markets throughout Italy. Beans grow up to 10 inches, remaining tender and meaty. Start harvesting at 5-6 inches for the best flavor, ideal for a delicious bean salad. As a vigorous climber, Pole Roma beans require support, such as trellises, tripods, or poles at least 7 feet tall. These vegetable seeds are perfect for tight garden spaces, as pole beans are produced over a longer period compared to bush beans. Plant after the soil has warmed, as these untreated seeds thrive in well-warmed conditions. For a successful harvest, plant 3-4 seeds around each pole or 2 seeds every 6 inches for trellises. Thin to one plant every six inches for trellis support, or leave two plants per pole. This packet contains approximately 40 seeds (30 grams), offering everything you need to grow authentic Italian pole beans right in your backyard in the United States.

These beans are incredibly delicious! They are very long and very hearty, yet tender! Highly recommend planting these in your garden if you love green beans!

Wonderful bean variety!

Planted in February (Phoenix, AZ) harvesting wonderful beans now the end of April, first of May! Good producer which is hard for most varieties of beans in our climate! Grew to about 6 feet tall on trellis. Highly recommend.

The best bean overall.

Parents from Italy grew these since 1950's, and now I've grown these since 1977. The best overall Roma bean.

Growing these every year since 1985.

These grow fast and produce abundantly. Freeze and dry great every winter while eating them all summer.
