Properosa does very well in my Pacific NW garden where it is hard to grow good eggplants because of our short summer season. But Properosa live up to it's name! I will keep this in stock so I can grow it every year!
This is the first year that I grew Eggplant. I have to say this was a very prolific producing variety. I had more eggplants than I knew what to do with. They were very tasty. I learned many ways to cook eggplant this year. I will be growing them again this coming year.
I got my seeds from another supplier, before I knew of GrowItalian, and was very impressed with the variety. Size varies from baseball to enormous, flavor is excellent, plant is tough and productive (I was away for a couple of months and when I got back the plant, in container, was a spidermite infested stick. I fertilized it, sprayed with Neem Oil, and it recovered enough to give me five more almost softball sized fruits before winter.) If I could submit a photo, I'm sure the viewer would admire the beauty of even the plant itself.
