Onion Precocissima Pompei (43-988)

One of our few short day onion varieties!

A flat white variety, sown at the end of the summer. It is harvested from the end of the winter onwards as bunching onion, picked when the bulbs are cylindrical or only partially grown, or as mature bulbs in late April. The mature onions are medium-big in size, flat, and with silvery white skin. They must be consumed during the summer as they do not have a long shelf life. Seed sourced from Sais Sementi.
