Winter Squash, also known as Piena di Napoli, is a very large fruit, ranging from 30 to 70 pounds! It has a cylindrical shape like a butternut squash, with a cavity only at the bottom of the fruit. The grey-green skin, with orange stripes when mature, makes it stand out as an Italian striped squash. The flesh is dark orange and dense, perfect for making gnocchi! This Italian squash, also referred to as Naples long squash, stores well and offers a delicate flavor.
100 days to maturity. 4-gram packet = 12-16 seeds. Grow Italian, and enjoy this unique Winter Squash with seeds from Italy.

Read the fine print and have a good back. These Zucca grow large and the vines are productive - two to three monsters on each. They take time to process, have a high water content and are very sweet for a squash. Make sure you have friends who are winter squash lovers. The puree from these are an easy substitute for pumpkin for your holiday pies. Will definitely grow again.
These are huge, long, green, and heavy. They taste really good. We had a yield for every seed. They were like it said 30 to about 50 lbs but we harvested them early so they probably would have gotten bigger. WE planted them late but next year we will plant them in late May. We are in North Central, Ottawa, Illinois. Grew fast.
